説教あらすじ 「新しく生まれる」 (05/07/2020)
◆イエスとニコデモ [ヨハネ３：1-8]
・２～３節のやり取りは、ややかみ合っていないように聞こえるが、イエスはニコデモが「神の国を待ち望んでいること」、そしてその『神の国』の概念が誤っていることを知っていたので、早速本題へと入ったのであろう。
・ニコデモに代表されるパリサイ人たちは、「神学的教養」には秀でていたが「霊的洞察力」には欠けていたためイエスの言葉をも「人間的には無理」と判断した。しかし「人にはできないことが、神にはできる」。[マルコ１０：27]
◆水と御霊による誕生 [５～８節，マタイ３：11]
・『水』は「水のバプテスマ」、『御霊』は「聖霊のバプテスマ」を指す。すなわち『新しい誕生』には「神からの一方的な働きかけ」と、それに対する「私たちの信仰による応答」の両方が必要である、ということ。
・『風』と『霊』はギリシャ語では同じことば。目には見えないが確かに存在し、私たちは察知することはできるが、思い通りにすることはできない。これは『神の主導権』に対する「私たちの態度」を象徴している。
・私たちは『天国人』として日々新しく造られるために、この「自分には思い通りにならない『神』に対して同意し、自らの人生の主導権を委ねる」という『信仰』を要求されている。

◆Jesus and Nicodemus. [John ３：1-8]
・Nicodemus tried to understand what Jesus told him by head, and concluded that it was impossible. He wasn’t able to see things spiritually. This conversation reminds us when a rich man came to see Jesus. [Mark１０：27]
◆Born of water and the Spirit. [Verses ５～８，Matthew ３：11]
・“Water” resembles “baptism with water” and “the Spirit” resembles “baptism with the Holy Spirit”. We need both of them to “be born again”. God prepares everything and offers to us. But we cannot experience His offer unless we repent and accept by “faith”.
・The same Greek word is used for “the wind” and “the Spirit”. They both exist even though we cannot see them. We can recognize them by their works but cannot control them. “Citizens of heaven” are required faith to agree to “God” who is out of control for us, and commitment to His leadership to be re-created daily.
