[ピリピ人への手紙３章１～１１節]

◆『主にある喜び』を妨げるもの

　・[２節]の「犬ども・悪い働き人・肉体だけの割礼の者」は同じ人々を指す。すなわち「信じるだけでは救われない。ある程度律法（特に『割礼』）を守ることが必要」と言う人たち。しかし「救いの条件」として『行い』を付け加える人たちは必ず「己れを誇ろう」とする。そこには『束の間の喜び』はあっても、神の国から来る『主にある喜び』を経験することは決してない。実際『割礼』は「救いの条件」ではなく、『神の民のしるし』として与えられた。今や『神の民のしるし』は、『割礼』ではなく、「己れに頼らず、キリストを誇る生き方」のことである。

◆『主にある喜び』の源

　・パウロは自分の体験を通して、「律法を守ること」ではなく、『キリストを知ること』こそが「神に近づく唯一の道」であることを確信した。[ローマ１０：4] また、キリストが死なれ「神の力によってよみがえられた」のは、単に「私たちの贖いのため」だけでなく、私たちも「自分に頼る」という己れが１度死ななければならないことを、身をもって示すためであったと知った。自我が生きている限りは、「肉の喜び」がいつも『主にある喜び』を見えなくさせている。

　・『主にあって喜ぶ』とは、「神がしてくださったこと（状況の変化）」を喜ぶのではなく、「神が私たちに施してくださっている『内なる変化』（日々増し加えられる神への愛と信頼）」を喜ぶことなのである。今日の要点：　『主にある喜び』を求め、また味わおう！

　①『割礼』にはどんな意味があるのですか？ 今はどうして『割礼』は必要ないのでしょう？

　②『主にある喜び』を妨げるものには、どんなものがありますか？ どうしてそれらのものが妨げになるのですか？

　③パウロの証しから学べることは何ですか？ あなたも同様の事を体験を通して学んだことがありますか？

[Philippians 3:1~11]

◆What hinders us from rejoicing in the Lord?

　・“Dogs, evildoers, those who mutilate the flesh”(Verse 2) all of these indicate same type of people who emphasize　the law (especially “circumcision”) as requirement for salvation.  Paul says that these people are preventing Christians from “joy in the Lord” because they try to make us depend on ourselves rather than God.

◆The source of “the joy of the Lord”.

　・Paul explains how God lead him to reach to “the real joy” by His grace.  It was all about “Christ”.  Christ is “the   purpose” of the law. [Romans１０：4]  We can all be “justified” because of Christ only by “faith”.

　・Jesus died not only to redeem us from sins but also to show us that we should deny ourselves in order to taste “real joy in the Lord”.  The joy of the flesh blinds us and unable us to experience “joy of the kingdom” as long as we live for ourselves.  So let us rejoice not because God works for our benefit but because He molds us into Christlikeness even through trials and hardships.

Today’s main point： Seek and taste “joy of the Lord”!
