説教あらすじ 「『キリストにある者』の到達点」 (28/04/2024)
[へブル人への手紙 １２章１８～２４節]
◆過ぎ去った契約（１８～２１節）
・この箇所は、出エジプトの民が「シナイ山のふもと」で神との契約を結んだ時の様子。旧約の時代、イスラエルの民の間では「神に近づくことは命の危険が伴う」という意識があるほど、「神と相まみえること」が恐れられていた。
◆私たちが近づいているもの（２２～２４節）
①『シオンの山』： 「古い契約が交わされた『シナイ山』」と対比されており、『新しい契約』ということの強調。
②『天上のエルサレム』： やがて私たちが神と共に永遠に暮らす『霊的故郷』。今既にその住人であると言える。
③『御使いたちの集い』： 私たちはやがて「数え切れないほどの天使たちによる礼拝」に加えられる。
④『長子たちの教会』： 神は「イスラエルの長子は皆わたしのもの」とおっしゃった。それ故『長子』とは「神のものとされた民」を意味する。私たちは皆「キリストの血によって贖われた『長子』」であり、『１つの教会』である。
⑤『さばき主である神』： この『さばき』を免れ「新しい契約」にあずかることができるのは「キリストにある者」のみ！
⑥『義人たちの霊』： 「既に天に召されたキリスト者たち」というより、「旧約時代に信仰によって歩んだ人々」。
⑦『注ぎかけられたイエスの血』： これこそ「律法による古い契約」とは全く別の『新しい契約』。アベルは「信仰によって」カインよりも「優れたささげ物」をささげたが、御子イエスの血は何にも優り私たちを聖める。[へブル９：14]
・この「キリストによる新しい契約」の故に、私たちは今『新しく造られた者』として生かされている！[Ⅱコリント５：17]
◎更に深い学びのために
①旧約聖書の時代、イスラエルの民はどうしてそんなにも「神と相まみえること」を恐れていたのだと思いますか？
②「イエス・キリストの血による『新しい契約』」は、私たちにどんな新しい特権をもたらしたのかを確認しましょう？
③パウロはキリスト者たちに対し、どのような意味で「あなたがたは『新しく造られた者』」と書いたと思いますか？
Outline of the sermon “We are ‘new creation’ in Christ.” (28/04/2024)
[Hebrews 12：18～24]
◆“The old covenant” has passed away.（Verses１８～２１）
・In Old Testament days, Israelites were afraid to encounter God. They thought they could no longer live if
they saw God because He is so Holy. Yes, He is Holy so we could never come to Him by observing laws！
◆What we have come to.（Verses ２２～２４）
①『Mount Zion』： It’s symbol of “new covenant” in comparison with Mount Sinai which symbolizes old covenant.
②『Heavenly Jerusalem』： Our “spiritual home” where we will live forever with God. In fact, we are already in it！
③『Festal gathering of angels』： Angels are professionals of worshiping God and we are going to join them！
④『Assembly of the firstborn』： God said, “all the firstborn are mine”. So “firstborn” mean “those who belong
to God”. We all belong to God because we are redeemed to Him by “the precious blood of Jesus Christ”.
⑤『God, the judge of all』： Only those who are “in Christ” can escape from this judgement！
⑥『Spirits of the righteous』： They must be “cloud of witnesses” rather than “Christians already passed away”.
⑦『Jesus’ sprinkled blood』： Blood of Jesus surpasses anything and even purifies our conscience.[Hebrews ９：14]
・We are now here on earth as “new creation”(ⅡCorinthians ５：17) by “new covenant of the blood of Christ！

①Why the old covenant was not enough for us to come to God and His kingdom？
②Please review the blessings “the blood of Christ” has brought to those who are “in Christ”.
③Why do you think Paul wrote to Christians that they are “new creation”？
