説教あらすじ 「Stay focused！」 (21/04/2024)
[へブル人への手紙 １２章１２～１７節]
◆レースを完走するために（１２～１３節）
・今日の箇所は、１２章の最初に学んだ『信仰のレース』と関連している。「踏み外す（１３節）」の原語直訳は『脱臼』の意。『脱臼』を避けるために「安楽な道を進め」ということではなく、「無意味な寄り道や危険や近道を避けろ」ということ。しっかりと『霊的筋肉』をつけて、定められたコースを一心に走って『完走する』ことが目標。
・ラインを真直ぐ引くためには、足元を見るのでなく、遠くにある不動の目標物を見ながら引く。同じように人生を正しく歩むためには「不動で確かな目標物」である『イエス・キリスト』をしっかりと見つめ続ける必要がある。
◆「キリストにある約束」から目を離すな！（１４～１５節）
・「聖さを追い求める（１４節）」は、「完全な品性を身に付ける」ということではない。この『聖い』は「混じり気がない」の意味。この世における「自分の利益」を後回しにして、神に思いを集中させる者は「神を見る」[マタイ５：8]。
・ここでのエサウの例は、彼の「不品行」というよりも、「霊的な事柄に対する無関心さ」を指摘している。すなわち彼の誤りは「神の約束を相続する」ということを軽視して、『食物（肉の満足を追求すること）』を優先させたこと。私たちも「神がキリストにあって私たちに与えておられる『永遠の富』」を決して軽んじてはならない！
・『霊的筋肉』をしっかり付けておくと、ちょっと道から外れてしまった時に元に戻ることがずっと簡単。今から「日々のデボーション」、また「家庭礼拝」などの習慣をつけ、皆でこの『信仰のレース』をぜひとも完走しよう！
◎更に深い学びのために
①「キリストにある『信仰のレース』」を真直ぐに進んで行くための秘訣には、どんなものがあるでしょう？
②私たちを「進むべき道」から踏み外させようとするものには、どんなものがありますか？
③あなたはどこに「人生のゴール」を設定していますか？ そこに到達するために何に気を付けていますか？

[Hebrews 12：12～17]
◆To finish your race well.（Verses１２～１３）
・Up to this verse we learned that God trains us to finish our “race of faith” well. We need “good spiritual
training” and “focusing on the right goal” to finish well our race. “Our unchangeable goal” is Christ Jesus
who has run this race and waiting for us at the goal.
◆Stay focused on “the promise in Christ”！（Verses１４～１５）
・We fail to obtain the grace of God when we shift our focus from God to the benefits on earth. Some may say,
“I would stop seeking God because it doesn’t give me any benefit on earth!” These people have forgotten
what Christ has done for us on the cross. We all need encouragement from brothers and sisters in Christ.
・“Strive for holiness” doesn’t mean “we have to be completely sinless”. This is talking about “not to be
double-minded”. To finish our race well, we put aside our earthly benefit and focus on God. [Matthew ５：8]
・Esau was not necessarily “sexually immoral” physically. Yet he was not keen enough to “spiritual inheritance”
from God. Here is an important lesson for us. Do not neglect “eternal inheritance of God” in Christ！ So
let us focus on “God’s promise in Christ” and strive to finish well “our race of faith” on earth！
