説教あらすじ 「私たちの競走」 (24/03/2024)
[へブル人への手紙 １２章１～３節]
◆私たちの目指すところ（１節）
・ここでは、私たちの信仰の歩みを「レース」に例えている。そしてこのレースは、既に多くの信仰の先輩たちが走り抜いたもの。ここで『証人』と訳されていることばは、当時のクリスチャンたちの間で『殉教者』を表すのに使われた語。この『証人たち』は、この地上では得ることのできない「神の約束」を遥かに望み見ながら信仰のレースを走り抜いた。では、それを既に得ている私たちは、どこを見ながら、何を目標に走るのか？
・私たちの目指すところは、やがて来る「キリストの再臨」である。主イエスは「わたしは必ずあなたがたを迎えに戻って来る」とおっしゃった。その時、この世の悪はすべて滅ぼされ、地上は『神の義と栄光』で満ちる。その日を待ち望みながら私たちは信仰の道を走り続け、また１人でも多くの人々に、このレースへの参加を呼び掛ける。
◆障害物競走
・また、このレースは『障害物競走』である。この世はいつも私たちに反抗し、「最善以下」へと誘う。しかし主イエスは「ご自分の前に置かれた喜び（２節）」すなわち「『救いの道』を完成し、御父の栄光の右の座に着く」という大目標のゆえに走り通した。そして彼は私たちにもこの「同じ喜び」を体験させたいと願っておられる。[黙示録３：21]
・私たちをもたつかせる『罪・重荷』とは何か？「この世での成功や他の人の評価を求める思い」？「自分なんかダメだという意識」？私たちをそれらのものに打ち勝たせる唯一の武器、それが『神との親しい関係』である！
◎更に深い学びのために
①私たちの『競走』とはどのようなものですか？ 私たちは何処を目指して走っているのでしょう？
②どうしてこの競走は『障害物競走』だと言えるのですか？ 私たちはどんな『障害』に直面するのでしょう？
③このレースを完走するために、イエスは何をしてくださいましたか？ どうしてそれが助けとなるのでしょうか？

[Hebrews 12：1～3]
◆What is our goal?（Verse１）
・Our “faith walk” is like “a race”. In chapter 11, we looked at many people who already finished the race.
Bible calls them, “a cloud of witness”. In those days, this word described “martyrs”. They finished their
race without receiving anything in this world, but they just looked ahead to the future.
・But we know where we are going and what we are going to receive！ We know that Christ will come back to
take us home and destroy all the evil. Then we will see God’s glory and righteousness reign！ We keep
running the race looking at this goal and shouting at people to join this race of salvation.
◆Obstacle race.
・This race is “an obstacle race”. Satan always tries to slow us down with “weights and sins”. But let us
focus on Jesus who endured his race for “the joy that was set before him”(verse 2). This joy was to
accomplish “way of salvation” for us, and be seated the right hand of God. And he desires us to experience
the same joy！[Revelation ３：21]
・Let us run our race with endurance because we are already “inside of the personal relationship with God！
＊Today’s key words: “KYOUSOU”(Race), “SHOUNIN”(Witness), “MOKUHYOU”(Goal), “SHOUGAI BUTSU”(Obstacle).
◎Questions to ponder on:
①What kind of race are we running？ Where (or what) is our goal？
②Why do we call it “an obstacle race”？ What are “the obstacles” in our race？
③What did Jesus do for us in order to finish our race？ How does it help us running this race？
